Faith Prescriptions: Your Faith in Practice
Every pharmacist has an unparalleled opportunity to care for both the physical and spiritual health of patients. Faith Prescriptions, a video series from the Christian Medical & Dental Associations (CMDA), equips Christian healthcare professionals to communicate the love of Christ, in word and in deed, to patients, students and colleagues, with sensitivity and respect.
CPFI is grateful to CMDA for permission to share this resource with our members.
How it works
- 30 short video episodes, about 15 minutes each, taught by Christian healthcare professionals
- Organized into Core Topics and Specialty Topics
- Free to watch online, with no sign-in needed
- Best used with a group of two or more, with discussion after each episode. It's a great fit for student chapters, pharmacy teams or a group of CPFI members.
- No CE credit is offered for this course
Topics include
- Taking a spiritual history
- Spiritual interventions, and praying with and for patients
- Sharing the Good News naturally and respectfully
- Caring for the whole person while staying on schedule
- Faithfulness in the face of opposition
- Specialty topics such as addiction, depression, chronic pain, the medically underserved, and refugees and immigrants
