Speaker: Andrew Straw, PharmD, BCADM
Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice, Vice Chair, Cedarville University
Title: Habits of the Heart: Cultivating Grace and Guarding Against Sin
Key Theme: As Christian pharmacists, our habits and attitudes toward patients reflect the state of our hearts and shape how we show Christ’s love. The Gospel empowers us to see every patient as a person made in God’s image, extending grace and empathy even in challenging situations.

Dr. Andrew Straw serves as Associate Professor and Vice Chair of Pharmacy Practice at Cedarville University School of Pharmacy. He graduated with his PharmD from Ohio Northern University and completed a PGY1 Community-Based Pharmacy Residency in conjunction with Lewis Drug and South Dakota State University. He currently practices at Rocking Horse Community Health Center where pharmacists practice under collaborative agreements for anticoagulation, diabetes, COPD, asthma, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and other chronic disease states. As a faculty member, he coordinates the Introduction to Self-Care and Respiratory Modules and enjoys trying new and innovative approaches to classroom instruction and assessment.
